Potentia MedSpa: A Med Spa and a Functional Medicine Practice in Lafayette, CA

GET TO THE ROOT CAUSE USING NATURAL MEDICINE

One body. One doctor. Simple answers.

Most women are managing their health across four providers. A doctor for hormones. Someone else for the gut. A dermatologist for the skin. Somebody for the weight that stopped moving. Four intakes, nobody talking to each other, and not one of them looking at the whole picture.

I’m Dr. Vera Singleton, and I built this practice to end that. I’m a naturopathic doctor and I run a medical aesthetics practice, under one roof, which nobody in the Bay Area does. Fifteen years in the East Bay. Voted Best Doctor of the East Bay.

It means your hormones and your skin get looked at by the same person, in the same visit, by someone who sees how they connect.

Our Services

What Makes Us Unique?

We are a top rated clinic and the only Functional Aesthetics practice in the Bay Area.  It’s perfect blend of medical expertise combined with innovative technology and natural-based support for your holistic health. Functional Medicine differs from Conventional Medicine because we focus on the underlying cause, not simply treating symptoms. All of our treatments are tailored specifically to YOU and your unique personal needs.

What makes this different from every other med spa

Frequently asked questions

What makes Potentia different from other med spas near me?

1

It’s a medical practice rather than a spa. Every treatment is performed or directed by me, a naturopathic doctor with fifteen years of practice, and it’s combined with functional medicine, so your skin can be treated alongside the hormones, gut function, and nutrient status that affect it. I also don’t offer Botox or filler, which means my work is rebuilding your skin rather than temporarily rearranging it, and I’ve nothing to sell you in that conversation.

Do I have to do both the clinical and the aesthetic side?

2

No. Plenty of people come here only for treatments, and plenty come only for hormones or digestion. You’re allowed to start wherever you want and stop whenever you like. The connection between the two is offered as information, never as a condition of care.

Are your treatments safe for darker skin tones?

3

Yes, all of them. Plasma energy doesn’t target melanin the way lasers do, so every treatment here is safe across Fitzpatrick types I through VI. Each case is monitored individually, with pretreatment where there’s any history of pigmentation issues. If you’ve been turned away elsewhere, that isn’t the situation here.

Where should I start?

4

Most people start with a skin analysis if their concern is aesthetic, or a consultation and lab work if it’s clinical. The skin analysis is $100, takes a few minutes, and commits you to nothing. If you’re not sure which you need, book a consultation and we’ll work it out together.

Potentia MedSpa is a fee-for-service practice. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds, and lab work is sometimes billable to insurance depending on your plan. We’ll go through what applies to you before anything is ordered.

Meet Dr. Vera

I’m Dr. Vera Singleton, ND, MBA, and an award-winning integrative and holistic doctor.

Being a doctor is my passion, it’s not just a job. I love the work I do. I consider it a great honor that you’re here.

Most of my patients come to me after they’ve tried everything else and they’re truly frustrated, both with their bodies and the medical system.
