Most women arrive interested in one side. Some come for their skin and discover the rest over time. Some come because they don’t feel right and later notice their skin changed too. Both are normal, and neither is the correct order.
Everything below is performed or directed by one doctor, which is the point. Your hormones and your skin are looked at by the same person, in the same practice, by somebody who sees how they connect.
You’re allowed to start wherever you want.

This is the part that makes the structure above more than a list.
Acne is inflammatory. Treating the surface without asking what’s driving it is why it returns.
Hair loss is frequently hormonal or nutritional. Scalp treatment works considerably better when the follicle has what it needs.
Skin that thinned and slackened in a single year did that because estrogen dropped and collagen followed. That’s a hormone question wearing a skin costume.
Weight that moved to your middle and stopped responding is a metabolic and hormonal question, and the loose skin afterward is an aesthetic one.
And gut inflammation shows up on your face, which is why rosacea, acne, and eczema so often improve when digestion does.
None of this means you have to do both. If you want a facial, you get a facial. Nobody here will tell you to sort out your hormones first. The connection is offered as information, and what you do with it is your decision.
How to choose where to start
If your concern is aesthetic, start with a skin analysis. It’s $100, takes a few minutes, and gives you your actual data rather than a guess. Most treatment plans begin there and it commits you to nothing.
If you don’t feel right and nobody has explained why, start with a consultation and comprehensive testing. Bring anything another provider has run in the last three to six months and I’ll read it rather than repeating it.
